Ironically i had a spike of my OCD last night i couldn't do anything couldn't play the video games i wanted, couldn't go to my friends, couldn't even watch the tv programs i wanted it almost felt like a mental paralysis stuck there only being able to stare at my TV and use Facebook
When you feel this bad and your alone it really does feel like you are the only one and i know other OCD sufferers will agree, so here is the problem, if you are in crisis physically what do you do? Ring 999 and what usually happens? You'll get seen to within a few hours and treated kept in over night
Compare this to a crisis mentally? If your in the right frame of mind and ring 999 get seen within a few hours then sent home the same night perhaps with a referral to a counsellor which will involve a 6 month waiting list.
Imagine having to wait 6 months to get a severe physical illness treated? You wouldn't stand for it would you? So I think the last post of #OCDWeek is the most important one, increasing awareness and support and bring mental health to physical health
